Mindamora Falls hiking trip

June ended with me being out in the sun. The trip was organized by Moi Richkid on Facebook. We went to Mindamora Falls, also known as Limunsudan or Bayug Falls, a two-tiered waterfall with a height of 870 feet situated between Talakag, Bukidnon, and Sitio Limunsudan, Rogongon, Iligan City. Tourism is made possible and was pushed through by the Lumad and the people of Talakag, but geographically, this wonder is within the boundaries of Iligan City.

The trail was hard for anyone who’s not a seasoned hiker. Guides were assigned to every group, and I got Ma’am Lovelyn to take care of me for the day. At first, I underestimated Mindamora Falls. Its trails were unpredictable and difficult. I had to exert more energy when we were on what they call the Monkey Trail. 

I met and made friends with the other people who joined the hike. We laughed and talked about the places we'd visited. The whole trip made me remember the 19-year-old me who was adventurous and carefree. You know, being out there with nature and the tranquility of what the mountains can offer was what I needed in the last four years.

Forever grateful to our Lord God for making all of my adventures possible since 2017. I'm glad I still have the physical and mental capacity to handle such a treacherous trail despite being inactive for quite some time.

Kaamulan Festival is from the Binukid word “amul” which means “to gather”. It is a gathering of Bukidnon tribespeople for a purpose. Every year people from all over the country visit Malaybalay City, Bukidnon just to join the fun and experience other things the province can offer.  My first-ever Kaamulan was this year. Facebook posts had me giddy with anticipation. Food and spring pools are two things I'd like to check out again. I went there for a three-day, two-night staycation/trip with my boyfriend and his buddies. Patrick's friends which turned out to be my friends as well, were very understanding as to why I slept almost every night during our stay.  At the same time, I enjoyed the company of those I traveled with. Reasons to stay alive

I've been meaning to write this but I always forget. In a few days, we will face 2023 and its mysteries. I am both excited and afraid of what's in store for me. Will it be a great year? I have a lot of questions but I don't want answers. I want to figure it out on my own.  One more year until my brain is fully developed and I'll be a real adult by then. I hope that I won't be as emotional as I am right now. I sometimes despise my empathy and my heart but without these, I wouldn't have the courage and the talent to write.  What are my reasons to stay alive for the new year? Hmm. Let me think thoroughly.
