Look Both Ways: A movie review

I never liked following the bandwagon. It's either, the book or movie sucked or it's bland. I don't know, I'm not into stuff that was over-hyped by social media. People tend to be over dramatic these days, take it from an over-dramatic person herself.

I finally finished Look Both Ways last night and it touched the very core of my heart. It tells us that even if things could go wrong, there might be setbacks and a little bit of detours in life, you will be okay. And you will get to where you're supposed to be.

No matter how long it may take. No matter how hard it is to get there, you will get there. Trust me.

In the movie, we follow Natalie Bennet, an aspiring animator, illustrator, or whatever you may call it. Had this 5-year plan of her life after graduation.

The movie shows us two different perspectives and two different lives of the protagonist.

Scenario 1:
Natalie got pregnant by her best friend, Gabe. A drummer. After finding out that Natalie is with child, both decided to keep the baby, named Rosie. And accepted the biggest detour of their lives, becoming a full-time parent.

Nat, whose bound to fly to LA to explore the animating industry, suddenly became a full-time mom. Gabe, had to give up his drumming career to help out Nat in raising their daughter.

Scenario 2:

Nat, flew to LA with her best friend, Cara. Applied for a job and met a handsome man who will have a huge impact on her life.

Nat was hired to this animating company and tried her best to let her boss see and criticize her portfolio.

4 years after, Nat got fired and was determined to create something that hers originally as she was challenged by her boss to find her voice.

Anyhow, both of the scenarios led to one conclusion, they both made in the end.

Which tells us that everything will into place. We will meet the one, our dream job, that graduation your dreading, that first million you've been saving and maybe a family.

We just need to be patient and as cliché it may sound, we need to trust the perfect timing and the process into getting there.

You're okay. We're okay.
